PROFILE

Hi, I’m Ajay.

My fascination with designing buildings began in my childhood, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have spent the past 13 years working in the industry of my dreams.

Professionally, I lead multi-disciplinary teams to efficiently solve complex engineering challenges and create structural designs that drive sustainable urban growth. Recognised by my peers and clients for delivering technical excellence and innovative, cost-effective solutions, I foster stakeholder collaboration and ensure the timely delivery of landmark developments.

My expertise lies in structural engineering, enhanced by modern technologies such as finite-element analysis (FEA), building information modelling (BIM), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and 3D soil-structure interactions.

Growing up and building my career in the UK, I’ve had the privilege of working on some of the most exciting and innovative large-scale design-and-build projects, including:

  • The Northern Line Extension: Expanding London’s tube network for the first time in the 21st century.

  • HS2: The UK’s first inter-city high-speed rail network, connecting London and Birmingham.

  • Edgware Central Development: Transforming North London with 4,000 residential properties and 200,000 sq. ft. of commercial space.

  • Clapham Common Southside & Nine Elms Park: Delivering 800 homes and 6,000 sq.m. of educational facilities in South-West London.

  • Carlton & Granville Centre: A pioneering scheme to deliver an integrated urban hub with a modern school, community centre and homes.

  • Manchester Airport, Terminal 2: Delivering the modernisation and expansion of Northern England’s most crucial transport hub.

  • Virgin Media Data Centre: Construction & expansion of a new data centre to enhance connectivity solutions and house the UK’s most advanced computing systems in a data-rich environment.

Academically, I hold a 1st Honours degree from Imperial College London, where I had the privilege of learning from some of the world’s most esteemed professors, shaping my approach to engineering. I later pursued a PhD at Imperial, focusing on the effects of wind on high-rise buildings and how natural airflow can be harnessed for passive cooling. My research resulted in three key papers published by Cambridge University Press, offering guidance on sustainable building design and construction.

If you’re looking to collaborate on structural projects or discuss engineering challenges, I’d love to connect.

Cheers,
Ajay
